How do I apply to renew my Grenadian passport?
Submit a completed application form with original proof of citizenship (birth certificate, naturalization or registration certificate, etc.), certified photos, and any supporting documents showing name changes, marriage, or adoption.
What are the photo specifications?
- Recent photos (within six months), size between 2″×1½″ and 2½″×2″
- Full-face visible, no glasses, hair off face, ears visible, minimal jewelry, chest covered
- One photo must be endorsed on the back by the recommender with: “I certify that this is a true likeness of the passport holder /Mrs./Miss.…” plus the recommender’s signature
Who can endorse as a recommender?
A Grenadian citizen personally known to the applicant, holding a professional or community standing (e.g. Member of Parliament, Justice of the Peace, Police Officer from the rank of Sargeant). Attorneys and Notary Public are acceptable. Close family members cannot serve as recommenders. For minors or those with mental incapacity, the recommender must know the guardian.
What documents do I need to apply for a Grenadian passport for the first time?
You will need to provide your parent(s) original birth certificate, your original birth certificate, proof of citizenship, two certified passport photos, valid identification, and any name change documentation. You must also complete the First-Time Applicant Questionnaire and attend an interview at the Consulate of Grenada. You undergo the same recommender and form-completion standards as renewals.
Can I renew my passport if it has already expired?
Yes. You can renew an expired passport by submitting a completed renewal application form, your original birth certificate, proof of citizenship, your current or expired passport, and two certified photos.
How long is a Grenadian passport valid for?
Passports issued to adults are valid for 10 years, while those issued to minors under 18 years are valid for 5 years.
What should I do if my passport is lost or stolen?
You must submit a police report, a completed and notarized affidavit form, your original birth certificate, two certified photographs, along with a completed passport application proper to replacements, plus all standard supporting documents for a passport renewal.
How can a child obtain a Grenadian passport?
Use the “Child of a Grenadian” passport application, with the addition of written parental or legal guardian consent. Guardians must sign on behalf of minors. All standard documents apply. If applying for the passport for the first time, the applicant must also complete the First-Time Applicant Questionnaire and attend an interview at the Consulate of Grenada.
What should I do if I need immediate travel assistance (e.g., lost passport en route)?
Apply for an Emergency Travel Document following the specific instructions provided by the consular section. These are typically for urgent, short-term travel needs.

What are the applicable fees?
Caribbean Community Grenada ePassport application fees as of July 2024 include:
