Who Needs an Appointment
– URGENT NOTICE –
If you are a First-Time Passport Applicant, please visit our Consular Services page for more information on virtual interviews and how to submit your applicant.
Applicants are welcome to drop-off without an appointment during regular Embassy hours; however, a Consular Officer will not be available to review your application with you. If you need help with your application, you must schedule an appointment before coming in.
Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Same day appointments will not be honored.
The Consulate is located at 1701 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, District of Columbia, 20009 on the corner of New Hampshire Avenue NW and R Street NW – 5 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro (Red Line).
Please be advised that these appointments are scheduled to last no longer than 15-20 minutes. Should you arrive after your appointment window, a Consular Officer will not be available to receive your application or review your documents with you. If that is the case, a member of the Consular Section will process your application within 1 business day and contact you if there are any issues. Please make sure that you provide a phone number and email address on your application.
