The General Debate brings together world leaders to discuss this year’s theme, “Unity and Diversity for Advancing Peace, Sustainable Development, and Human Dignity, Everywhere and for All.” Heads of State, Government officials, and ministers focus on addressing interconnected global challenges and exploring solutions that promote peace, security, and sustainable development.
The UNGA, the principal policy-making body of the United Nations, serves as a unique forum where representatives from each of the 193 Member States participate, all having an equal vote. This gathering facilitates multilateral discussions on a wide range of international issues outlined in the United Nations Charter.
