Is the Embassy Open?

Effective March 31, 2020, due to Stay-at-Home Orders related to COVID-19, our office is closed to the public, and all staff are teleworking where possible.

As of Monday, May 18, 2020 consular services have resumed (by mail only) for nationals needing to renew or replace a passport. Processing time is currently 2-3 weeks and expedited processing is not being offered. Visa services and first-time passport application services are still suspended until further notice.

During this time, staff will still be able to receive and respond to email. There may be a delay in responses as all personnel are on irregular, restricted schedules. There will be no one available to answer the phones but please leave a voicemail if you do not have access to email.
